Les Mains Guidées: Chickens! Chickens! Chickens!
Vermilionville continues to host monthly workshops allowing you to learn a craft from the Acadian, Creole and Native American ways of life. Classes are from 10:00 a.m. – Noon with topics from woodcarving to foodways (and many things in between).
Heritage Gardner, Michael Fowler, will discuss the raising and the care of chickens. Topics will include feeding, basic health needs, coop specifications, flock management, predator control and more. Back yard and suburban chicken keeping are becoming more popular, and this class will get you started.
