Our Les Vues Film Series is held on the last Monday of each month. The event is curated by filmmakers and enthusiasts, statewide. Films range from documentaries to animations focusing on various aspects of culture. Following the screening, there is a discussion between the audience and the curator.

Black History in the Attakapas Region

January 2nd - February 10th 
This exhibit tells the story of Louisiana’s slaves, free people of color, and Creoles. Topics include slavery, Code Noir, education, religion, and civil rights.

A Tale of Two Mardi Gras

February 12th - March 6th 
Learn about the vastly different, but equally meaningful ways Mardi Gras is celebrated in the city and the country. Enjoy looking at the beautiful and elaborate city costumes and fun and festive country Mardi Gras outfits.
 

Bayou Vermilion River

March 8th - May 28th 
At the time the Bayou Vermilion District (BVD) was formed in the mid-1980s, the Bayou Vermilion was listed as one of the most polluted waterways in Louisiana. This exhibit will show how BVD works to keep the bayou clean and what you can do to help.
