ADMISSION : Vermilionville offers a discounted rate for groups of 20 paying customers or more.
2015 Group discounted rate is $8 per adult and $5 per child. Your group will receive 2 complimentary admissions for the tour operator
and the bus driver.
DISCLAIMER : To ensure that we can fully accommodate a group, reservations must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the
date of the tour and must include maximum numbers for the group. Please use the booking request form at the bottom of the page. The basic self-guided tour is 1.5 hours + a 15 minute mandatory orientation and check in + 15 minutes budgeted for the gift shop = a total of at least 2 hours on the property.
In order to receive the reduced admission rate, groups must be booked at least two weeks in advance.
GUIDES* : Groups can take a self-guided tour, or opt for one of our guides to lead them through the village (we recommend
1.5 hours to complete the tour). We can provide 1 tour guide for every 25 guests at a rate of $35 (in addition to the admission cost).
A tour guide must be booked at least two weeks in advance of your arrival date.
TOUR ENHANCEMENTS : We also offer cooking demonstrations and dance lessons; both classes are 30 minutes each and cost $3 per
person. There is also a watershed exhibit, which is a free guided educational tour of the environmental aspects of present-day Louisiana
(15 people max per group, 45 minutes). Enhancements accompany a tour of the village and must be booked in conjunction with a visit.
BOAT TOURS : Vermilionville offers seasonal boat tours, starting the first Saturday of March to the last Saturday in May and
the first Saturday of September to the last Saturday of November. Boat tours are not available on Sundays or Mondays. Please contact Vermilionville
for available dates. Boat tours are restricted to 15 passengers per trip at a rate of $8/person for 30 minutes, $10/person for 45 minutes
and $12/person for 90 minutes (please note that 15 additional minutes are needed for loading and unloading). Boat tours must be booked
in advance.
CUISINE* : Vermilionville has a
full-service restaurant and
offers meal plans for groups and individuals. If your group has 20+ people and you have decided to book a group tour menu option, we can
reduce your admission to $6/person for the village visit in conjunction with the lunch or a meal demo option (90 minute class). Please
note that group tour participants are not permitted to eat lunch in La Cuisine de Maman; a pre-determined menu can be made by the tour
operator and served in an area where we can better accommodate you.
*DEPOSITS are required for meal plans and tour guides; 1/2 of the total cost must be paid two weeks before the group's arrival
date. We do not keep credit cards on file for deposits. If you would like to set up direct billing with our accounting department, please
contact Kim Fournet at
Accounting@BayouVermilionDistrict.org.
